  1. Provide immediate treatment of acute illnesses and problems
  2. Set up a centralised health database for tracking of patients
  3. Characterise disease profiles and observe disease trends
  4. Refer patients with chronic conditions to local hospitals in order to reconnect them with the local healthcare system
  5. Refer emergency cases to local hospitals

Overview of Health Screenings


Health Screening for Village Residents

The health screenings held at Kamping Puoy Village (village school) and Sra Kaew Village (basic health centre) targeting both children and adults will include:


  • Basic health parameters
  • Hair lice and open wounds treatment
  • Consultation
  • Pharmacy and General Health Survey
  • Education for at-risk individuals (High-Risk Strategy)
  • Deworming (Albendazole)
  • To provide relief for the symptoms of stomachache, vomiting and diarrhea
  • Health surveys
  • To evaluate the effectiveness of our screenings for future improvement
  • To monitor relevant trends in the village and hence better cater to their needs
  • Referrals to hospitals for chronic and emergency cases

Health Screening for Peaceful Children’s Home II

A health screening will also be conducted for the children at Peaceful Children’s Home 2, during which the health record system implemented since 2013 will be used as well as updated. This will allow us to perform integral tasks such as to monitor the health of the children and to track their immunisation records. The screening will be similar to the above described, including:


  • Basic health parameters
  • Hair lice and open wounds treatment
  • Physical examination
  • Pharmacy
  • Deworming (Albendazole)
  • To provide relief for the symptoms of stomachache, vomiting and diarrhea
  • Offer basic immunisation (if required)
  • Referrals to hospitals for chronic and emergency cases
